The first impression.

As I see, the main character of the novel is Mr Lockwood. He has just returned from a visit of his landlord. The novel called "Wuthering Heights" because it's a name of Mr Heathcliff's dwelling where Mr Lockwood has stayed. Mr Heathcliff wasn't glad to meet the guest, he was inhospitable and very tense, as it seemed to me. I can't even imagine what relationship will be between these two characters because they are very different. But who knows? At the very moment, the situation is not clear for me.
Also I learnt that Mr Lockwood was in love with a charming girl. But he  never told his love. However, she understood his "language of look" and even looked a return-the sweetest of all imaginable looks. So, it's also the begining of a love story. I don't know why but I have strange feeling that this love will end tragically. Anyway, it's very fascinating to follow the characters of the novel.

It can't be overlooked that the place of the actions is certainly beautiful. It's a perfect place in England. I was excited when I read the book because the discription of landscapes and the general atmosphere of that time settles some kind of cosiness or something like that, that I can't express by words. Very ecxiting!
So, I really interested this novel and I look forward to learn new facts about the characters and new events. I suppose it will be fascinating.

My choice.

I thought a long time what book to choose because I wanted to read a book that is close in my spirit and at the same time has an interesting plot. I asked for advice from my friends. They recommended me a great variety of books they liked. It was a difficult decision. But my choice fell on the book "Wuthering Heights" by Emily Bronte. Several friends were delighted with this book and told about it very vividly. What is more, I was fascinated by Gothic elements of the novel.

I heard about this book a lot. I know that Emily Bronte is lauded for her only novel "Wuthering Heights" but it's a very famous writing. There are several film adaptations of the book. Moreover, it has inspired some musicians to write songs according to this novel.
So, I hope to get a lot of emotions from reading this book and make the positive findings about it.
